Entry 2 - the idea of 'black' self-hate TBC

I hear time and time again that black women who seek to change themselves and 'alter' their features are self hating individuals. I beg to challenge that notion that plastic surgery is not self hate but a form of self love. From the pictures, the individuals who change their noses and bodies are not trying to get a 'white' nose but rather have a NOSE they see that fits their face! Besides the exception of Micheal Jackson or Lil Kim, there are few celebs I can name have 'gone too far' with rhinoplasties. Nevertheless, I'm not here to say that everyone who goes for cosmetic enhancements does so for the right reasons but I'm here to say that I personally am chosing to do it for the right reasons. I want my nose to fit my face, I percieve my nose as too big for my face. I also want liposuction on my stomach and inner thighs because I have over the years lost a total of about 40lbs and see it as a perfect reward to cut away the remaining saggy fat and skin that refuses to go away with exercise. I'm young and it is the time to do this for myself confidence and also to find a mate. This is blog is set up to encourage black women to do whatever is necessary to feel better.

For example: this bw has a smaller nose, it isn't more 'western' it just fits her face proportionally better

This is the wonderful resource and hope to have him as my doctor!

  2. The great thing about liposuction is that more people are considering it now not only to look better, but also to get healthier. Removing excess fat takes away extra weight that can very likely put bigger-sized people at risk of many health complications. There are also different ways to have the procedure done. Non-invasive liposuction is becoming very popular, for example, because it is painless and leaves no scarring.
